Biopaints Sponsorship of WOW Award a Natural

Nelson-based natural paint company Biopaints is pleased to announce it has become a first-time partner at the Montana World of WearableArt™ Awards.

Biopaints is the sponsor of the Runner Up to the Supreme Award for 2008.

Montana WOW® Awards Marketing Manager, Donna Ching says the award is to be called the “Biopaints Runner Up to the Supreme Award”.

“It’s a very prestigious award. To be runner-up for the supreme award out of an average of 160 selected garments each year is an achievement that these creative designers and artists strive for”. Last year’s runner-up to the supreme award, was celebrated designer Mandi Kingsbury (originally from Christchurch) who has been based in Dubai since the early 1990′s where she has designed for Royal families around the middle east.

Biopaints Business Manager Kathryn Barlow says it’s an exciting partnership and a perfect fit for their business.

“Just like the Montana WOW® Awards, we’re based in Nelson, but our product is in demand throughout New Zealand. Like them we’re about encouraging creativity, innovation and excellence, so we’re really thrilled that we can help support the fantastic pool of New Zealand design talent with our partnership,” she says.

Kathryn Barlow says Biopaints has been providing a natural and healthier partnership to conventional paints for over 16 years with their range of breathable paints made with minerals, clays and natural oils.

“As awareness about healthy living and creating healthy environments has grown, so has the interest in our natural paints. The fact we’re able to tell our customers exactly what’s in the paint and also be able to provide a premium product along with personalized service is something we’re very proud of”.
